This poster commemorates Connie Smith’s appearances as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s 2011 annual Artist-In-Residence in the Museum’s Ford Theater. Since 1964, when her debut single, “Once a Day,” stayed at #1 for eight weeks, Smith has enjoyed a reputation as a singer’s singer. She is cited as a favorite by many, including George Jones, Junior Brown, and Dolly Parton, who said, “There’s really only three real female singers in the world. Streisand, Ronstadt, and Connie Smith. The rest of us are only pretending.”
