They didn’t call him the King of Country Music for nothing. Roy Acuff was one of the biggest stars in country music, the crown prince of the Grand Ole Opry, and a star of several Hollywood feature films in the 1940s. This 41” x 29” poster probably dates from 1941. He hailed from east Tennessee, so naturally he dubbed his band the Smoky Mountain Boys. No photo, but fantastic use of type. Printed on acid-free paper for durability.
